What to Expect

'Look up' is a common cue I use in the studio. When I say it, it usually means level your chin. It means stand like you're balancing a book on your head. But it also means be proud of your work. It means look forward to the future. It means set goals, have dreams, and believe you can achieve them. It means despite setbacks, the challenge is still worthwhile. It means don't look down, and definitely don't look back. Look up! When you look up, you see the sky and the birds reminding you to be graceful,  the trees reminding you to stand tall, and the clouds inviting you to reach up and touch them.

I hold my sessions in a sunroom/solarium on the back of my house. I find being surrounded by light and nature helps facilitate calm and focus.

On our first visit, I'll evaluate your posture and alignment, and we'll discuss what you want to get out of your sessions. I like to think of our process as a team effort; we'll establish goals and come up with workouts that will line up with your goals, progressing you towards a stronger core, better balance and alignment and more acute mindful movement, among other things.

We will work with a variety of props both on the mat, tower and on the reformer including stability balls, foam roller, Pilates circle, balance cushion, and therapy bands.

I welcome work with a broad range of abilities and ages. From the beginner to advanced; from those living with chronic pain to the experienced athlete. The principles and practices of Pilates will benefit any lifestyle and can be applied to nearly any body.

Now things are looking up!
